This novel was published in 2014 and tells the life story of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last emperor of Iran. The novel was nominated for the Now's Literary 8 Award, and the eighth edition of this work was published in 2022.
The events take place in the 1960s about the last Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last emperor of Iran. The novel deals with his life and death in a Cairo hospital, and monitors the failed assassination attempts, despite his fear of assassination, and his dreams of reviving the Persian Empire and being the leader of the Middle East. That invincible man, how did terror control him and how did he finally acknowledge the revolution? But after it was too late for him to die alone in Cairo, the home of his first wife.
The novel begins with the assassination attempt on him in the Marble Palace, then moves on to monitor the most important events during the Pahlavi dynasty, including the assassination of the Shah's Prime Minister, Mohammad Ali Mansour, with reference to many historical events that the author is interested in, wrapping this in the dramatic nature of the characters of the work.
